Description : OFFSHORE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER Job purpose and organizational context: Job purpose: Reporting lines and interactions: Functionally reports to: Construction Section Manager Operationally reports to: Directly supervises: Offshore Construction Team Members Key interactions (internally, externally): Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria):
- In charge of Offshore Installations such as Jackets, Decks, Pipe Lines, Risers & Power / Fibre Optic Cables, etc using Construction / Installation Barges, Vessels.Implement Construction Safety.
- Plan & Implement Construction resources.
- Selection of Marine Spread (Barge / Vessel) for the smooth execution of Offshore Construction works.
- Develop Project Specific Construction Methods for Offshore Construction Work.
- Provide Construction Supports / construction Inputs to Proposal, Planning & Contracts.
- Review & Analysis of Subcontractors' Bids.
- Review & Recommendation of Construction Contractors to Contracts / Projects.
Main accountabilities : 1. General Duties :
- Monitor / Oversee day to day Construction / Installation works at Offshore.
- Develop/review Installation Methods, procedures, Anchor Patterns for Barges / vessels.
- Review & inspect Load out & Sea fastening activities / work at onshore Construction Yard.
- Shut down work Planning.
- Construction Coordination, liaise with Client's Platform / Site Managers, Marine Warranty surveyors, Third Party Inspection Agencies, & Construction Contractors, etc.
- Review of Construction Progress with Planning Engineer.
- Attending Weekly / Monthly or Bi-weekly Construction Progress review meetings with Clients.
- Physical Review of Construction work & its Progress.
- Close coordination with PMC / PMT/ Third Party Inspectors.
- Construction Duties
- Jackets structural Hook ups.
- Decks' Piping hook ups.
- Tie-ins
- Shutdown work activities
- Erection Activities
- Installation Protections
Additional information : Requirement
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering with focus on Structural Steel
- Minimum 12 years experience in Oil and Gas Projects
- Minimum 8 years Offshore Construction Experience with Offshore Construction Company in a similar position.
- Conversant with International Codes of Construction & Marine regulations.
- Brown Field experiences will be an added advantage
